| 1. Littering inside or around any monument is strictly prohibited and all offenders will be punished. |
| 2. Writing / drawing on monument and cave walls and thereby defacing them is also strictly prohibited and all offenders will be penalized. |
| 3. Though photography is usually allowed, permission may have to be sought in the case of taking pictures of Archaeological Survey of India certified rare monuments. |
| 4. Some monuments may have a nominal entrance fee. There are clear guidelines at the monument itself, informing the tourist of the same. |
5. Monuments are places of sanctity. Please bear this in mind while visiting them. At no instance should you touch any deity. |

Barmul(80Km) - This small village gets prominence due to the magnificent Mahanadi gorge on the bank of which it is situated. From Sunakania hill up to Barmul the course of the river is known as the SATAKOSIA GANDA (Gorge) with water spread of about 22 km. It provides a fantastic sight of nature. |
Kantilo (33 Km)- Standing elegantly on the right bank of the river Mahanadi, Kantilo is famous for the temple of Lord Nilamadhaba on the top of the twin hills with a surrounding of green forests. The presiding deity of the place is believed to be the earlier form of Lord Jagannath of Puri. Permanent secretion of holy water from the feet of Lord Nilamadhaba and the movement of the great Shakti of Lord Siddeswar to north and south according to sunrise and sunset are the two wonderful sights to be seen here. The place is also known the Bell Metal works.Rregular bus services are available to reach the place. |
Jamupatna(32 Km) - 32 km from Nayagarh the place is famous for the shrine of Lord Dutikeswar Mahadev at the foot of Sulia hill. Other temple like Bana Durga,Sun God and the newly built temple dedicated to eight armed Durga are also noteworthy. The banyan tree in front of the Dutikeswar Temple adjoining a pond is known as Kalpa Bata. The temple complex in the greenery of the forest provides the visitors an aesthetic and peaceful view. Jamupatna is 19 km from Sarankul and 5 km from Odagaon. |
Odagaon(27 Km) - The famous temple of Raghunath Jiu where Lord Rama is worshipped as Raghunath attracts a large number of devotees round the year at Odagaon. The place is 27 km from Nayagarh and 14 kms from Sarankul and wellconnected by frequent bus services. Sri Ram Navami is the biggest festival observed here for 10 days. |
Ranapur(36 Km) - 36 kms from Nayagarh Ranapur is famous for the abode of Goddess Maninag in a picturesque setting of nature. Frequent bus services from Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Nayagarh are available to reach here. Temple of Lord Jagannath is another important temple to be visited. |
Sarankul(13 Km) - Sarankul is renowned for the temple of Lord Balunkeswara Mahadeva popularly known as Ladu Baba. The place is located on the Nayagarh-Aska Road. Kuanria(48 Km) - Kuanria is a Minor Irrigation Project on river Kuanria. The dam stretches 1 km in length on a huge reservoir set in natural beauty and abundance of greenery.
